Fillings and crowns cannot be bleached and your gums have to be healthy to avoid irritation. For this reason the dentist first has to see if fillings and crowns will not cause a visible difference in color. When all is OK, we make a mold of your teeth.

The bleaching gel contains hydroxy peroxide. The gel Tandzorg provides, contains 10% hydroxy peroxide. In comparison with other gels that contain even up to 35%, this is mild. The danger of using a gel with a higher dose is the enamel to become brittle and porous and will be prone to abrasion. However, a lower dose of hydroxy peroxide does not mean a lesser result. The process just goes more gradually. The advantage of this is that the gel is less harmful for your teeth and gums. The sensitivity that can occur for hot and cold will be reduced to a minimum. Normally 24 hours after you have stopped bleaching, this sensitivity will pass completely.

Getting a natural looking result is of the most importance. Every day you can see if you have already obtained the color you desire. Bleaching like this becomes a harmless, sensible and efficient way to get whiter teeth.
