You will be referred to the prevention assistant when:
- You r teeth harbor a lot of tartar, plaque and other debris which make it necessary to have your teeth thoroughly cleaned
- Your gums are inflamed and therefore bleeds, but with hardly any (if any) bone loss around the roots of your teeth and molars
- Your oral hygiene needs to be improved by education in combination with explanation about the appropriate use of tooth brushes, dental picks, floss, tongue scrapers et cetera. A good instruction is as important for children as it is for adults
- Your treatments at the oral hygienist are completed and you just need check-ups to guarantee an optimum condition of your gums and teeth
- You express the wish yourself to have plaque and/or tartar removed for esthetic reasons.
