Probable cause: you may have an inflamed nerve of a tooth or molar. The formation of gas in the root canal causes swelling and pressure from the inside out which is experienced as pain when your teeth touch something hot.
Treatment: Please make an appointment with your dentist. He or she can determine if a root canal treatment is necessary to solve the problem. Until then you may try to control the pain by often rinsing your mouth with cold water.
